Privacy and support inquiries: [email protected]

By using PayPort Direct, you acknowledge the practices described in this Privacy Policy.

1. Information We Collect

The information we collect depends on how you interact with PayPort Direct.

Account and Business Information

When you create or manage an account, we may collect information such as:

  • your name;
  • email address;
  • telephone number;
  • business name;
  • business contact information;
  • business website;
  • business address or service information;
  • account identifiers;
  • login and authentication information;
  • account preferences; and
  • information you provide while configuring PayPort Direct.

Customer and Invoice Information

When you use PayPort Direct to create invoices or request payment, you may provide information about your customers, including:

  • customer name;
  • business name;
  • email address;
  • telephone number;
  • billing or contact information;
  • invoice descriptions;
  • amounts due;
  • payment status;
  • due dates; and
  • notes or other information associated with an invoice.

You are responsible for ensuring that you have the right to provide customer information to PayPort Direct and to use that information for invoicing, payment collection, and related business purposes.

Payment Information

PayPort Direct may process or display information relating to payments, such as:

  • payment amount;
  • payment method;
  • payment status;
  • transaction identifiers;
  • invoice associations;
  • payment timestamps;
  • payment-provider identifiers;
  • blockchain transaction hashes;
  • wallet addresses; and
  • related transaction metadata.

Card and ACH processing is provided through third-party payment providers such as Stripe.

PayPort Direct generally does not need to store complete payment-card numbers or bank-account credentials used by your customers to make payments through those providers.

Payment providers may collect and process additional information according to their own privacy policies and agreements.

2. Business Wallet and Digital Dollar Information

If you use PayPort Direct's Business Wallet or Digital Dollar / USDC functionality, we may collect, generate, receive, or associate information such as:

  • wallet addresses;
  • blockchain network information;
  • wallet identifiers;
  • transaction hashes;
  • transaction amounts;
  • token or asset information;
  • transaction status;
  • timestamps;
  • wallet infrastructure identifiers;
  • gas sponsorship or transaction-operation information; and
  • information necessary to connect wallet activity to your PayPort Direct business account.

Where Business Wallet features are enabled through Coinbase CDP embedded wallet technology, Coinbase may receive information necessary to create and authenticate an embedded wallet end user. That may include email address and authentication-related identifiers, as well as wallet and transaction identifiers needed to operate the wallet. PayPort Direct does not custody merchant funds and does not store private keys.

Blockchain networks are generally public.

Information written to a public blockchain—including wallet addresses, transaction amounts, transaction hashes, and related transaction activity—may remain publicly accessible independently of PayPort Direct.

We cannot delete or alter information that has been permanently recorded on a public blockchain.

3. Digital Dollar Ready Information

If you purchase or participate in the Digital Dollar Ready White-Glove Service, we may collect information concerning your implementation and qualification process, including:

  • USDC Direct configuration status;
  • payment-test information;
  • walkthrough or training completion;
  • checklist and qualification evidence;
  • timestamps and administrative actions; and
  • certification or verification information.

Where you seek Digital Dollar Ready certification through Digital Town Network, PayPort Direct may transmit appropriate qualification information to Digital Town Network so that the applicable certification standard can be evaluated and recorded.

Purchasing the Digital Dollar Ready service does not itself constitute certification.

4. Information Collected Automatically

When you visit or use PayPort Direct, we and our service providers may automatically collect technical information such as:

  • IP address;
  • browser type;
  • device type;
  • operating system;
  • referring pages;
  • pages or features accessed;
  • dates and times of access;
  • session information;
  • error and diagnostic information; and
  • security-related activity.

We may use cookies or similar technologies for authentication, security, preferences, analytics, fraud prevention, and operation of the Services. Where enabled, Cloudflare Turnstile may be used to help protect forms from automated abuse. PayPort Direct uses Google Analytics (gtag.js) to understand website and product usage. As of the effective date of this Policy, PayPort Direct does not use Meta Pixel or similar advertising pixels on the public website.

6. Invoice Chaser

If you use Invoice Chaser or another automated follow-up feature, PayPort Direct may use customer contact information and invoice information to send or facilitate payment reminders according to your configuration.

As the business using Invoice Chaser, you are responsible for ensuring that you have a lawful basis to contact the recipient and that your use complies with applicable laws.

We may maintain records of reminders or other communications necessary to provide the feature, troubleshoot issues, prevent abuse, and maintain an appropriate activity history.

We may also use aggregated or de-identified information for analytics, product improvement, and business planning where reasonably appropriate.

8. How We Disclose Information

We do not sell personal information in exchange for money.

We may disclose information in the following circumstances.

Service Providers

We may provide information to companies that help us operate PayPort Direct, such as providers of:

  • payment processing;
  • wallet and blockchain infrastructure;
  • cloud hosting;
  • database and storage services;
  • email delivery;
  • authentication and security;
  • analytics and monitoring;
  • bot-protection and abuse prevention; and
  • customer-support infrastructure.

These providers may process information according to their own terms, privacy policies, and contractual obligations.

Stripe

Card, ACH, subscription billing, and certain checkout functionality may use Stripe.

Information necessary to establish, operate, and manage Stripe payment functionality may be transmitted to Stripe.

Stripe independently collects and processes certain financial and identity information according to its own policies.

Wallet and Blockchain Infrastructure Providers

PayPort Direct may use third-party providers, including Coinbase CDP where Business Wallet features are enabled, to enable Business Wallet, blockchain, gas-sponsorship, or related functionality.

Information necessary to provide those capabilities may be transmitted to those providers.

Blockchain transactions may also result in information being published to a public blockchain.

Digital Town Network

If a business participates in Digital Dollar Ready qualification or certification, we may provide Digital Town Network with information reasonably necessary to:

  • identify the participating Digital Business;
  • verify qualification requirements;
  • issue or maintain certification;
  • display Digital Dollar Ready status or a badge; and
  • provide public verification of certification.

We do not treat payment of the $299 Digital Dollar Ready service fee itself as certification evidence.

Legal and Safety Reasons

We may disclose information when we reasonably believe disclosure is necessary to:

  • comply with law, regulation, subpoena, court order, or lawful government request;
  • investigate fraud or illegal activity;
  • protect our rights or property;
  • protect users or others;
  • enforce our Terms of Service; or
  • respond to a security or safety issue.

Business Transfers

If WebWise Solutions LLC or PayPort Direct is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, sale of assets, or similar transaction, information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to applicable law.

9. Public Blockchain Information

Blockchain technology differs from traditional private databases.

When a transaction is recorded on a public blockchain, information associated with that transaction may become publicly available and may be:

  • viewed by anyone;
  • copied by third parties;
  • analyzed by blockchain analytics providers; and
  • retained indefinitely.

WebWise Solutions LLC does not control public blockchain networks and generally cannot modify or delete information recorded on them.

Do not assume that a blockchain wallet address or transaction is private merely because it does not display your business name.

10. Cookies and Similar Technologies

PayPort Direct may use cookies and similar technologies that are reasonably necessary to:

  • keep users signed in;
  • maintain sessions;
  • remember preferences;
  • protect accounts;
  • prevent fraud and automated abuse;
  • understand operational usage of the product; and
  • maintain and improve the Services.

Third-party services integrated with PayPort Direct (for example Stripe Checkout, Google Analytics, or Cloudflare Turnstile, where used) may also set or read cookies or similar technologies according to their own policies.

Where required by applicable law, we will provide appropriate choices regarding non-essential cookies.

11. Data Retention

We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to:

  • provide PayPort Direct;
  • maintain business and transaction records;
  • fulfill contractual obligations;
  • resolve disputes;
  • prevent fraud and abuse;
  • comply with legal, accounting, tax, and regulatory requirements; and
  • protect our legitimate business interests.

Retention periods may vary depending on the type of information and why it was collected.

Some transaction information may need to be retained after an account is closed.

Information recorded on a public blockchain is outside our control and may remain permanently available.

12. Data Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information handled by PayPort Direct.

However, no internet service, software platform, database, blockchain system, or method of electronic storage can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for promptly notifying us if you believe your account has been compromised.

13. Your Choices and Rights

Depending on where you live and applicable law, you may have rights concerning your personal information.

These may include rights to:

  • request access to certain personal information;
  • request correction of inaccurate information;
  • request deletion of certain information;
  • obtain information about how information is used or disclosed; or
  • exercise other privacy rights provided by applicable law.

These rights are not absolute.

For example, we may need to retain information to satisfy legal obligations, maintain transaction records, prevent fraud, establish or defend legal claims, or fulfill other permitted purposes.

We also cannot delete information from public blockchain networks that we do not control.

To submit a privacy request, contact: [email protected]

We may need to verify your identity before completing a request.

14. U.S. State Privacy Rights

Residents of certain U.S. states may have additional rights under applicable state privacy laws.

Depending on the law and whether it applies to WebWise Solutions LLC, those rights may include access, correction, deletion, portability, or rights concerning certain disclosures or uses of personal information.

You may contact [email protected] to make a privacy request.

We will respond to valid requests as required by applicable law.

We do not knowingly offer PayPort Direct accounts to children under 13.

PayPort Direct is currently designed primarily for businesses in the United States.

If you access the Services from outside the United States, your information may be processed or stored in the United States or other locations where our service providers operate.

Those locations may have different data-protection laws than your jurisdiction.

17. Third-Party Websites and Services

PayPort Direct may contain links to or integrations with third-party websites and services.

This Privacy Policy does not govern independent third parties.

We encourage you to review their privacy policies before providing information directly to them.

18. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as PayPort Direct, our technology, or legal requirements evolve.

When we make changes, we will update the effective date.

If changes are material, we may provide additional notice where appropriate or required by law.
